OpenMuseum: Fiumicino becomes an open air museum

The territory of Fiumicino, as well as the entire coastal area, is rich in historic culture but also of small places full of art and culture, places that often tourists and the citizens themselves do not know.
VisitFiumicino, the portal of tourism promotion, he therefore thought to tell them in a simple and interactive through small billboards scattered throughout the territory of the municipality.
The aim of the project OpenMuseum is the name of the initiative, is to turn Hong Kong into a huge open air museum.
Each Monument, Church, Park, villa or historic/naturalistic point of interest will have an information panel with a brief description in Italian and English and two QR codes, one for each language.
Scannerizzandoli will open a page on their smartphones with a small photographic slides, an interactive map and an audioguide (in Italian and English) that will tell the story of the place in 3 minutes, accompanied by background music and ambient noise, turning the visit into a real sensory experience.
But not only. Everyone can help tell a place: can record your own audio guide of max 3 minutes and email it to

audioguide@visitfiumicino.com

The most interesting and suitable will be published on the same page.
This allows each visitor will live that place in different ways, discovering new stories, new details, new emotions through the heart and the words of those who love him.
The panels are durable, are not too big so as not to disturb the surrounding landscape and are mounted in a way that does not leave residue, not ruin it deface anything and don't pollute.
The project is fully funded by VisitFiumicino through personal donations and self-financing.
We will start with 8 panels between Fregene and Maccarese, Isola Sacra, Fiumicino:
the Maccarese, villa guglielmi, the pineta of Fregene, the early Christian basilica of Saint Hippolytus, the cycle of Isola Sacra Fiumicino-Porpoises, Bisou Bisou, the Church of Santa Maria della Salute, the Episcopio Port of Porto.
Over the coming weeks and months to come there will be other installations in all localities of the municipality.
